PW in Canada

PW is rated an evidence-based practice for conduct disorder by Children's Mental Health Ontario. It is used al
all over the world, but has shown great success and gained popularity in British Columbia in particular. Thanks to the work of Bob Pushak, PW is becoming a popular parenting tool all over Canada.l

Bob Pushak is the primary trainer of mental health professionals using Parenting Wisely in the Ontario Mental Health Plan for Conduct Disorder. He is a mental health counselor of Penticton, BC, who has disseminated PW throughout BC (view map of users) and, after much devoted research he has developed group curricula for Teen, Young Children, Foster and Residential Care programs. Bob teaches PW in workshops, focusing on this group curricula and his research demonstrates that practitioners who use PW report lower job stress, burnout, and improved job satisfaction (Pushak & Frei).

Bob received the Premier's Award for Innovation in the spring of 2007. He received the 2006-2007 Premiers' Innovation and Special Achievement Award for realizing a fundamental shift in the way business what business? is conducted that produces substantial benefits for civil servants and society. In addition, Bob has played a critical role in the development of both Parenting Wisely and our Children in the Middle program which have both been designated "best practice programs" in the USA, Canada and Great Britain.
