Advanced Skill Training especially relevant for
Foster Parents, and Residential Care Staff!
PARENTING WISELY:
Foster & Residential Care© 2002
Four
typical problem situations are presented for foster parents including: personal
hygiene issues, privacy conflicts, school problems, and stealing. These
are followed by four typical problems experienced by staff in residential
treatment settings including: peer aggression, bullying, vandalism, and
defiance of authority.
While
separated by the setting where the problem was enacted, all of the
problems depicted in this program have been reported by both foster parents
and residential care staff as occurring frequently in their respective settings.
Based
upon the success of the original Parenting
Wisely program, this highly interactive CDROM responds to individual
choices and is specifically designed to address the unique communication
and compliance needs of foster parents and residential care staff by addressing:
Peer Aggression
- Defiance of Authority
- Stealing
- Bullying
- Hygiene Problems
- Privacy Issues
- Vandalism
- Supervision
